Yapu the Tarsier

Yapu is a cute and cuddly tarsier with big round eyes and a smile to brighten your day. Its name is short for “Yakap Puno (Hug Tree)” as tarsiers are known to be natural tree-huggers… but Yapu has extended the definition to hug everyone! Although tarsiers are known to be territorial, Yapu decided to travel the world to raise awareness about his fellow tarsiers. He is a unique and ingenious Filipino mascot, and that’s why we love him!
It is made with love by the Titas from the GK Enchanted Farm and embodies Gawad Kalinga’s mission: ending poverty for 5 million families by 2024.
